just recently my friend chihaya tagged me in a video (i guess?? short term memory loss mode ON!) which featured vocaloid soundtracks in it,o wait!! that's not it! (short term memory loss mode OFF!) i remember now. I stumbled upon chihaya's youtube account and saw one of her friend's channels, i can't make sense of her youtube username but i can distinguish it has "ETHIE" in it, so I'll refer to her as that in this post; coz anyway it sounds cute, so I'll leave it at that.
I'm not really sure but it looks to me like they have this whole collab of hobby singers that have fun in the most awesome way by doing covers of songs I'm still new to hearing.,., I don't even know how to label the genre of the sound.,.,i simply call it vocaloid-ish songs/anime songs/smiley video songs to that effect.
genre label regardless. They are awesome, and for the past few weeks I slowly got into liking the genre. So thanks for that, it made my sem break, uh... cool!
Chihaya just celebrated her birthday and i got this idea of doing a ... *censored* (not the pornographic censorship, it's a surprise) ... of course since she was technically the bridge that introduced me to vocaloidial stuff maybe a song for her would be fit as a gift... as to what the song is about.,, you guessed it. -> it's *censored*... but as a hint maybe this will help...
i kinda have the feeling that miku (right) is already that popular that explaining things about her would sound dumb... so for the sake of the hint I'll talk about FL-chan (left) ...
I was already done mixing what I plan to give chihaya and as I was hearing the finished thing when i accidentally clicked on the empty space of the software I'm using. I intuitively concluded that it was a prompt to select a wallpaper for the workspace background. and I discovered that FruityLoopsStudios has it's own mascot in the person of FL chan. Her images in my laptop we're much more detailed (clothes) than that which i found in the net,,, which allowed me at that time to think that the idea of her outfit is pretty much thought out...
first, the choice of colors were patterned from the official logo of FLstudio
which is a fruit of some kind that I'm not too familiar of... melon orange and avocado green... yum!
And notice FL-chan's hair!!! it has this alfalfa thing going on which resembles that of the fruit, the little pointy thing that stands out. that is so cute! Since FL-chan's picture is in side view i can't comment on the "play button" which was made to be her necklace... but what I can comment on is her skirt... it has this sort of predominant 'piano keys' design which i think is pretty damn clever....
Up until now I'm still overwhelmed by the fact that there are awesome people (Ethie, Chihaya and friends) that do these things for fun, covers and the like, it makes people feel good, it makes christmas colder, it makes christine o-donnell not a witch,.haha
